Organizing and executing a campaign like this is not easy. How should you pick elements of the tool kit if you have limited resources, time, or both? There are still many ways to make a difference!

  • Vote and work to make sure all who you come in regular contact with vote.

  • Go to candidate events and ask questions about afterschool to the candidates.

  • Write letters to the editor and op-eds to your paper describing the challenges children in your state or community face and challenge the candidates and the media to address them during the fall campaign.

  • Distribute materials to your friends, neighbors, and people you work with.

  • Talk clearly and passionately about afterschool, and remember, voters are with you.
