Mark your calendar! The 11th annual Afterschool for All Challenge will take place May 8-9, 2012, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. Details and registration info coming soon!
The Afterschool for All Challenge brings together afterschool program staff, city and state leaders, youth, parents, educators and U.S. Representatives and Senators in the name of afterschool. The gathering provides panels and workshops addressing the hottest issues in afterschool, and sends a clear message to policy makers about the impact and importance of federal investment in afterschool programs. Through meetings with Congressional offices, the event offers participants the opportunity to cultivate relationships with Members of Congress.
Did you miss last year’s Challenge? The 10th annual Afterschool for All Challenge: Expanding STEM Afterschool was a great success, from the workshops and panels to the "Breakfast of Champions" honoring top afterschool advocates and meetings with more than 200 Members of Congress.
